Samantha Dorenfeld

Vice President
 

Samantha  is Vice President at Neighborhood Forward, where she leads community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and government affairs initiatives throughout Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. Known for her ability to build trusted relationships across government, community, and stakeholder groups, Samantha helps clients navigate complex political environments and develop effective strategies that advance successful project outcomes.

Before joining Neighborhood Forward, Sam worked at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, where she led policy initiatives and implementation efforts focused on tobacco control and public health. Her background in public policy and government has provided her with a deep understanding of how public agencies, elected officials, and community stakeholders work together to shape outcomes.

In addition to her work at Neighborhood Forward, Sam serves as Adjunct Faculty at Arizona State University, teaching  courses in public policy, public service, and American democracy. She holds a Master of Public Policy from Arizona State University and a B.A. in Political Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Sam is an alumna of the Rautenberg New Leaders Project and the Advocacy in Action program through the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. Outside of work, Sam is active in animal rescue efforts through fostering and enjoys cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
